A good-paying job shouldn’t require a 4-year degree. I will work to increase funding for high schools, community colleges, trade schools, and vocational programs. This investment will reduce the number of jobs that require applicants to have expensive college degrees.
In TX-31, we also have the opportunity to create apprenticeships and workforce pipelines through partnerships with Fort Hood and local businesses. Veterans, transitioning service members, and young adults should have access to hands-on training that leads to immediate employment.
